You probably think you can or should be doing more. It is human nature.
Consider this story:
There was a beach with thousands of sea stars washed ashore and dying. A little boy was throwing as many as he could back into the ocean. A man walked by and saw the boy’s efforts and said, “You’re wasting your time! There are thousands of sea stars, you’ll never make a difference!” To which the boy replied as he threw another star back to his home, “I made a difference to that one.”
Some days, you may be like that naysayer man who thought it was all useless. Try to channel that little boy and realize that every little bit counts.
Stop and consider the good that you have done for your loved one and how that has had a ripple effect on many, many more.
